Cyber Incident Manager. - Hybrid - Lancashire or Greater Manchester.

£58k to 61k plus 10.5% bonus plus private health plus combined 21% pension plus excellent benefits.


Cyber Incident Manager needed to support the regions critical infrastructure both before and during the event of a major cyber attack, working as part of a well funded, trained and large cyber security team. This team also has its own designated training budget to support development.

As a the Cyber Incident Manager your role will be to help support the preparation of the business to effectively respond to and recover from cyber incidents, minimising impact and ensuring business continuity.

As the Cyber Incident Manager you will create, maintain and test Cyber Security team Business Continuity Plan. This role will also support in the event of a cyber security incident; supporting incident response communication and coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

As the Cyber Incident Manger you will define the expectations, processes, plans and documentation for the business and supply chain to undertake before, during and after cyber incidents. You will identify and ensure that the business has required resources, competencies, training, equipment and technology to execute the cyber incident response plan. Build the capability within the business and supply chain to execute the cyber incident response plan. Working with 3rd parties to develop support requirements in the event of an incident and testing the plan.

You will need as much of the following as possible:
  • Experience in a previous role of major incident management.
  • Understanding of cyber security and risk management.
  • Ability to interpret associated cyber documents and translate into business facing communications
  • Providing support with incident management.
  • Working with 3rd parties.
  • Experience of working in or close to technical teams.
  • Experience of working in regulated environment.
