Network Security Architect - Greater Manchester or Lancashire - Hybrid - £85k to 90k plus bonus, car allowance, excellent pension and benefits.

Network Security Architect needed to be responsible for the Network Security Architecture for a complex enterprise level network within a critical infrastructure organisation, based in the North West of England.

As the network security architect, you will have strong traditional network and security architecture knowledge and ideally be able to show some cloud experience or the capability to develop this within your skills.

Working closely with the Architecture, Security and Services teams you will be responsible for setting direction and ensuring the network is secure and optimally supports the business.

As the network security architect, you will responsible for ensuring new solutions, from a network and security perspective, are secure, viable and aligned to the enterprise architecture and digital strategy. You will be developing and maintaining enterprise architecture deliverables for the network and security domains.

You will be as the network and security architect responsible for partnering with analysts, engineers and third parties to design and assure enterprise level solutions across real time operational systems and non-operational systems.

As the network security architect for developing and owning processes, policies and standards as they relate to network and security architecture and design.

Ideally you will have operated as a network engineer or in a networking role before moving in to network architecture adding security and cloud as you have developed through your career.

As much of the following as possible would help you be successful in this opportunity:

• Experience of working on or leading network projects from a design and architecture perspective.
• Demonstrable experience of working in complex network environments with sound experience of IP, Network addressing, network and security infrastructure design, design of an end-to-end solution covering every aspect IT.
• Experience or knowledge of delivering network and security architectures for cloud environments.
• Demonstrable subject matter expertise of a wide sphere of security and network services and technology.
• Experience as technical design authority for an organisation’s network infrastructure and network security.
• Strong business engagement and stakeholder skills
• Experience of developing and maintaining architectural deliverables, such as designs, reference architectures, principles, roadmaps, financial plans and strategies.
• Experience in analysing and translating business, information and technology requirements into an architectural blueprint and related artefacts.
