£100,000.00 - 110,000.00 Per Annum (33% bonus, 10% pension, excellent additional bens)

Product Director – Experiences - CAVU.

Apply have been retained to support CAVU in the hiring of a Product Director for their Experiences team.

 Apply will be handling all applications on this role. This Role has hybrid working based in Greater Manchester and will involve some travel.

This role is not a Technology focussed product role and if your experience is product in technology, you will not be suitable.


Product Director:

Reporting to the Chief Experience Officer the Product Director, Experiences (PDE) is responsible for overseeing the development of all portfolio products within the Experience’s portfolio. The PDE will lead the effort to define product strategy, set vision, and ensure the successful execution of all product initiatives. They will lead cross-functional teams to enhance the amenities, curate exclusive offerings, and maintain brand standards that client and customer expectations.

Facts & Figures:
Current portfolio of 25 lounges across the UK and US with ambition to double in size within the next 3 to 5 years in EMEA, AMER, and APAC.

Global Lounge EBTIDA of approximately £24 million in current fiscal year with ambition to double in size within the next 3 to 5 years.


The Role:
  • Define and develop the Experiences global product vision and strategy which considers opportunities across the entire customer journey.
  • Define and develop a product operating model(s), in conjunction with the Director of Operations, that ensures delivery of a first-class customer experience and a commercially viable platform.
  • Ensure all products (existing & new) have the capability to profitably scale globally via a variety of investment & operating models e.g. own locations, franchises, 3rd party operators, strategic partnerships etc.
  • Work closely with the customer teams to develop a global unified brand strategy for each product.
  • Determine appropriate design of all Experiences products – size, preferred layout, fit and finish, etc. - considering the size of the airport and local influences.
  • Ensure successful execution of product initiatives through close collaboration with the Operations and Delivery team.
  • Create Food and Beverage (F&B) offering which balances experience with profit per guest, optimising standardisation and considering local influences.
  • Support the digital platform with needs to be considered with such things as booking, revenue management, stock inventory, etc. Collaborating with operations, ecommerce and the technology teams to make this aligned to the product strategy.

The candidate:
To be successful in your application for this role you must be passionate about delivering great customer experience, the promotion of great process, but focused on the people. You will have a great eye for detail, but the ability to celebrate progress rather than waiting and foster a culture of data-driven decision making, accountability and metrics for measuring performance


You will need to be able to demonstrate the following experience:
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management at C-suite level
  • Significant commercial and senior leadership experience
  • A track record of developing and executing Product strategy to driving profitability and significant growth
  • Experience of P&L management ensuring that key value is delivered within cost / timescales agreed
  • Food & Beverage (F&B) experience
  • Corporate or Executive Lounge design or high value customer designed experiences
  • Ability to understand the big picture and align stakeholders by bringing together a coherent viewpoint based on their perspectives
  • Knowledgeable and promoting of great process, but focused on people
  • An understanding of the challenges of developing an MVP
  • Ideas generation and workshop leadership and facilitation to manage successful innovation
