Head of Product Architecture
Hybrid – North West – £95k, 20% bonus,11% pension plus additional benefits.

As Head of Product Architecture, you will set and own the overall technical architecture and design governance for the product group, leading a team of solution architects. Coming from an enterprise architecture background you will pioneer the enterprise architecture from a group product perspective.
Working in and with the leadership team, as the Head of Product Architecture, you will align the technology vision with business strategy by integrating the business processes with the appropriate technology solutions.
As the Head of product architecture, you will solve problems for the business by identifying processes, data, technology and people requirements to digitise and optimise creating excellent internal and external customer experience.
Bringing your enterprise architecture experience to the fore you will work with the business and technology teams to start to rationalise the applications estate including SAP, ServiceNow and the Microsoft stack. Working with the business you will explain the art of the possible, what good looks like and then work with the solutions architects so they can start to create the solutions.
Putting the enterprise architecture plan in place for the product area you will then give clarity on the direction and roadmap, challenge the teams to make sure your architectural vision remains on course and empower them to drive their specific areas forward at pace.
Ideally you will have as much of the following as possible.
- Proven experience of technology architecture within a transformational business effecting successful IT change
- Enterprise architecture experience
- Experience of managing process, data, information and technology architecture
- Knowledge of infrastructure, applications, business process automation
- Architectural modelling, design and road mapping
- Strong understanding of future developments in cloud computing and experience of re-platforming
- Excellent understanding of Servers and Storage, Data Centres, Applications and Middleware
- Senior Business stakeholder and relationship skills
- Proven experience of designing and delivering technology strategy
- Ability to communicate clearly and be listened to at all levels of the organisation.
- People leadership experience – matrix or directly.
- TOGAF or similar equivalent experience
Good experience in the Data space as a data architect or from an enterprise level of a data project /programme would be useful in this role but is not essential.
