Security & Operations Analyst / Network Engineer / Firewall Engineer- Cisco – Hybrid working – 55k to 60k plus benefits.
Security & Operations Analyst (Cisco) for our client who are a multinational business with an enterprise level network.
We are looking for an experienced Cisco & Firewall engineer or analyst who will be responsible for configuring, installing, maintaining, and monitoring of firewalls.
You will be responsible for the maintenance of Cisco firewall policies, remote access solutions, scheduled policy audits, logging, firmware updates and hardware replacements. Firewalls used are Firepower - FTD - ISE.
The role will be responsible for:
- Participating in incident and major incident management and assist in the investigation.
- Maintain special administration access rights and exemptions to our applications and remote access capabilities.
- Maintain and manage all internal and external firewalls. Perform release management activities including patching, firmware updates and other related activities.
- Maintain remote access platforms for all 3rd party and corporate users’ access.
- Ensure compliance with any applicable information security standards and regulations.
- Interface regularly with various levels of the IT organisation as well as the internal and external auditors to ensure timely test execution and issue resolution.
- Daily security activities such as SIEM log review, system administration, incident response, disaster recovery, security assessments and vulnerability management.
To be successful in this role you will have as much experience of the following as possible:
- Experience and knowledge with network security concepts such as Firewalls, IPS, VPN, Advanced Threat Protection and network segmentation.
- Ideally a CCNP or CCDP Certified (Routing & Switching or Security).
- Strong Cisco experience.
- In-depth knowledge of firewall deployment and configuration; particularly Cisco ASA, Cisco FTD Firewalls, Firepower and ISE.
- Understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorisation and security.
- Experience implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies.
