Disaster Recovery Manager – North West – Hybrid working - £60k to £66.5k with bonus, excellent pension and excellent benefits.
Disaster Recovery Manager required to create the Disaster Recovery framework from scratch for this north west based organisation that has an enterprise level estate.
In this newly created role, the DR Manager will work in an immediate team of 10 that contains people highly skilled in the other core ITIL disciplines, who are then part of a wider IT team of 150 plus technologists.
As the Disaster Recovery Manager, you will be instrumental to the business, ensuring services are protected from and able to recover effectively to maintain business processes and continuity. You will lead continuity planning, testing and maintenance to ensure an appropriate level of resilience.
As the Disaster Recovery manager, you will drive and enhance the assurance operating model to cater for use of the cloud through the service introduction process. This role will be key to forging new relationships and solutions on the cloud journey, working across multiple technology and platform areas, and supporting the delivery of key resilience programmes of work.
This role is a real opportunity to create and own the disaster recovery framework from scratch for this large North West based critical infrastructure organisation.
Ideally you will have as much experience as possible of the following:
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery processes and standards;
- BCP framework components, Business Resumption Planning, Incident Response Planning, Disaster Recovery Planning
- Supporting large Programmes and Projects and Service Introduction processes
- Performing Audits
- Managing and coordinating the response to a major, unplanned disruptive event that required activation of the BC/DR/Incident or Crisis Management Plans
- Good customer awareness and the ability to influence and educate at C suite level
Any experience of such things as ISO 27001, ITIL and cloud knowledge would be ideal in this role but are not essential, the key is knowledge and practical work on DR plans.
