Data Analyst -  from a SQL DBA or or SQL Developer / Data Background 

As the Data Analyst you will ideally come from a DBA background, or a SQL led data background as you will be doing SQL Server administration and housekeeping however the company is looking for this role to develop in a cloud-based role around Azure SQL and Synapse data lakes as the company looks to go on its Cloud journey.

You will work closely with the other areas of the IT function, identifying data related requirements and trends, building servers and services, managing updates and installs in all data related environment, problem resolution, confirming and validating backups. As the Data Analyst you will deploy, maintain and improve this company’s data related environments.


As the Data Analyst you will maintain the data lakes and look to extract information from reporting. You will design and implement holistic solutions that meet the business' requirements. As the Data analyst you will help project manage and implement new IT developments across the business.


You will need experience in:

• Applying technical and functional expertise within an IT Systems and/or Data Development Team
• Knowledge of SQL Server and administration / Housekeeping
• Working technical and non technical stakeholders 

Any experience of the following would be useful but is not essential:

• MS Cloud based technologies i.e. Azure SQL and Synapse Data Lakes.
• Data Warehouses
• Qlik
• Azure Synapse
• Insight Software – Jet

The key to this role is the background in SQL and the ability to learn and develop knew technology skills.
