Infrastructure Architect – opportunity to up skill in cloud technology - North West based

 
Infrastructure Architect required for this North West based organisation who will be responsible for developing and maintaining an excellent understanding Infrastructure based technologies.

Whilst the role primarily focuses on existing Infrastructure services, it is envisaged that the role will evolve over time to take on more Cloud related skills and experience as Cloud becomes the prevailing technology – if you do not have cloud this is an opportunity for you to upskill.

As the Infrastructure architect working in collaboration with cloud architects and wider architecture team you will be responsible for the cloud architecture work including partnering with analysts, engineers and third parties to design and assure enterprise level solutions across operational real time network systems and non-operational corporate systems.

As the Infrastructure Architect you will partner with the business, technology teams and 3rd party to deliver infrastructure architecture solutions against the aligned strategy.
 
Ideally you will have come from an infrastructure background and the company uses Azure as its cloud solution with a hybrid model in place. With an enterprise level estate, the business is heavily invested in its technology and creating the right fit for purpose solutions that deliver now and in the future.

This organisation has a very good and direct relationship with Microsoft so support & training is consistently available, and they are investing in Azure stack.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience with some of the following:

Designing and implementing infrastructure platforms and technical solutions to meet business requirements, including  experience of hands-on implementation.
Data Centre optimisation / automation tooling
Identity Access Management, Active Directory, RBAC
Conditional Based Access and MFA based security
Secure remote access VPN services and conditional based access.
Storage arrays, backup, and archive services
Hyper Converged compute platforms, VMWare / Hyper-V
Windows Server, RedHat Linux, Solaris & AIX UNIX
Containers (OpenShift / Kubernetes)
Citrix / NetScaler
Networking (LAN / WAN / SD-WAN), DNS, DHCP, Express Route, Load-Balancers
